WHY ELECTION SHOULD BE DONE YEARLY! -Asiegbu Speaks

Don't infer yet by just reading the caption of this piece; my captions are always controversial. What might have inspired me to write this piece? Find out below...  

I am going to be polite, straight to the point, and also logical to certain extent; if you have contrasting views to mine, please be bold enough to drop them using the comment box. We are on a democratic society [though I don't know if it's applicable in our system of government in Nigeria].

It's quite unfortunate how our leaders do desert the people not soon after each election, but would return back when another election is close by. So, if election is among the major factors that do bring or rather drag them close [or back] to the people; then election should be conducted annually, at least.

If you are really not apolitical, even if you are, you must have noticed that what I am saying is up 75-80% factual. Let us take Anambra State for instance; just because of the Gubernatorial election scheduled to hold on November 18th, 2017, most of the aspirants have been around, visiting many places and people prior to the election. 

They should stop deceiving people; it is time for us to start using our sense and wisdom. This post might make no effect, but the truth in it is surfaced; and when many starts to talk about the fact/reality, you will see it making great effect. Okay, there was an attack at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Ozubulu, most of them visited the scene; maybe you think that if they had not come home/around prior to the election, that you could see any of them around the place or have them visiting the victims.

Election period should not only be the period for Politicians to come around and see their people both when they are in good conditions and when they are facing challenges. If they cannot be coming home to see us, then I think election should be made yearly.
